Amanda Taylor, Executive Director of Bethany Community Ministries, spoke with Kitty Julian of the Pittsburgh Foundation ahead of the #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert fundraiser happening on August 9th. She highlighted that the need for meals, toiletries, and other personal care items has increased during the pandemic, and that children need more educational support than ever. She talked about how BCM's vaccination program has grown, reaching seniors across the city, and building relationships that help people feel more comfortable asking for help addressing their other needs. She also emphasized the importance of the Shawl Project to our mission, and our need for skilled volunteer makers.
