Summer Youth Program

The Summer Youth Program (SYP) is a no-cost, in-person program designed to strengthen the Homewood community with quality summer programming to enhance academic performance and life skills in a safe environment for Homewood children.

Serving youth ages 5 to 12 years old, our summer camp program provides enrichment activities, mentorship and character building, and academic support with a focus on S.T.E.M. and reading.

Registration is required. Email Amanda Taylor to sign up: [email protected]

Our summer program helps youth retain knowledge, build life skills, and have fun in a safe environment during the summer.

Supporting Scholarship

SYP supports scholarship with exposure to high achieving professionals, academic field trips, and activities in science, tech, engineering, math, and reading.

Addressing Hunger

SYP seeks to address childhood hunger in the Homewood community by providing two free hot meals per day, alongside nutrition education opportunities.

Improving Behavior

SYP strives to reduce delinquency-related risks for youth through character building exercises, informal counseling, and relationship building.

Building Confidence

It is hoped that by participating in SYP at the Bethany Center, Homewood’s children will have a greater sense of safety and security in their community.
