What is #ONEDAY?
On Tuesday, August 1st, The Pittsburgh Foundation will host a Critical Needs Alert online giving event to support basic needs and essential human services. This year's Critical Needs Alert will take place from 8:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
During the past few years, socioeconomic disparities in our region have become more pronounced. It's more important than ever that we invest in work that benefits communities. The #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert fundraiser was created in response to that need.
For one day only, your gift will be multiplied. The Pittsburgh Foundation and its donors provide $500,000 in incentive funds benefiting Allegheny County nonprofits!
Why give to BCM?
Bethany Community Ministries strengthens the community at large using faith-based principles to provide equitable access to food, healthcare, and childcare. We provide:
- Delicious meals prepared by the Master's Kitchen
- Shelf-stable goods through the Storehouse Pantry
- 7 weeks of summer programming through DiSYPles
- Gifts of comfort from members of the Shawl Project
- Low-impact workouts for seniors through Soul Fit
- Vaccines and health screenings through Senior Care
We believe these services are essential to our community, so we provide them at no cost to participants.
