Shawl Project Meetup

Event Details:

It's our first meetup of the new year! We have some delectable donated yarns to sort through, including silks, merino wool, and bamboo. Let's brainstorm what little treasures we may be able to make!

We're also going to:

1. Collect completed hats and scarves to distribute
2. Check in with Food Ministries to share our gifts
3. Make plans for our 2024 initiative (below)

This year, Shawl Project makers will participate in the Sandy Angell Summer Cancer Cap project, in memory of our beloved friend and fellow maker. Cancer caps are lightweight hats made with soft materials like bamboo and cotton yarn for chemotherapy patients who may experience hair loss and scalp sensitivity. They will be donated to a local organization to support people in need.

We hope you can join us in person! A light snack will be provided, but please feel free to pack a lunch.
